Why a new menu and what does it change – Aidi

Objective

Aidi's navigation menu has been redesigned to take up less screen space and give more room to content. The structure has also been rethought to offer a more intuitive and fluid navigation experience, organized by topic rather than by project phase.

Info

No access has been changed. You still have access to exactly the same information as before. Only the location of pages within the menu has changed.

What's New ?

1. Single column with collapsible sections

The previous menu used two columns, with project phases on the left and sub-pages on the right. The new menu uses a single column, with sections you can expand or collapse as needed. This reduces the space taken up by the navigation and gives you more room to work.

2. Menus organized by topic

The previous menu organized pages by project phase (Initialize, Planning, Execution, Supervision, Closing). The new menu groups them by functional topic:

Portfolio Management
Financial Management
Contract Management
Scheduler
Time and Resource
Risks
Reports and Documentation
Organisation

This logic better matches how you use Aidi day-to-day, by looking for information based on its nature rather than the project phase.

3. Favorites

A Favorites section now appears at the top of the menu. To add a page, click the star icon in that page's header. This gives you quick access to the pages you visit most, without having to browse through the sections below.

4. Notification center moved to the top right

The notification icon is now located in the top right corner of the interface, next to the Aidi logo. It was previously in the sidebar, further down. This repositioning follows modern application conventions and makes notifications easier to access.

The new menu adopts a more compact, topic-based structure with the ability to pin your favorites, simplifying navigation without removing any of your existing access.
