In the last update, we rolled out the new portfolio simulation functionality.
In this update, we've refined this functionality by adding, among other things, advanced search and character counters. In fact, we've extended character counters to other features that limit the number of characters.
We've also added an automatic refresh of multiple pages to save you unnecessary clicks, and made a number of small changes to make Aidi even easier to use.
Here's an overview of the main elements of this product update:
Character Counter
To help you fill in text fields in Aidi, we've added character counters for fields that have a limit to the number of characters that can be entered.
These text fields are listed below:
- Portfolio creation form (Portfolio Management)
- Scenario creation form (Portfolio Management)
- Strategic objectives creation form (Admin - Portfolio settings)
- Benefits creation form (Admin - Portfolio settings)
- Budget type creation form (Admin- Budget / Financing settings)
- Cash flow template creation form (Admin- Budget / Financing settings)
- Financing type creation form (Admin- Budget / Financing settings)
If you enter more characters than allowed, an icon and an error message will appear.
Settings of Budget and Financing
In order to limit the number of configuration pages in the Admin menu, we have centralized budget and financing settings under a single tab: Budget / Financing settings.
When you access this menu, you'll find budget and financing settings in two separate tabs.

Text Fields

Fixed an error that prevented different dashboard graphics from being displayed.
- Circular dependencies between 2 projects are now correctly displayed in the Scheduler section of Analytics.
Budget
- When a budget item sub-line is reset to $0, the parent line automatically becomes editable again. It is no longer necessary to refresh the page manually.
- The button for deleting a budget item has been disabled for users who do not have delete permission for the budget page. This avoids the display of an error message.
- It is now possible to add a note to a budget whose approval request has been cancelled.
- Correction so that financing associated with a budget item when deleted is no longer displayed in the list.
- Correction so that an account associated with a second-level or lower-level budget item when disassociated from the parent line is no longer displayed in the child lines either.
- Aidi Essential environment: Fixed a bug that prevented the creation of budget sub-lines in certain situations.
Budget Settings
- It is no longer possible to change the status of a cash flow template from Active to In preparation.
Components
- It is now possible to delete a component for which associated financing has been deleted.
Cost Summary
- Column Committed + real cost has been renamed with Committed + Operation expenses.
Declaration
- When a discharge is added from the Declaration page, it is now updated automatically. It is no longer necessary to refresh the page to see the new entry.
- Addition of a calendar for date selection when creating a discharge from the Declaration page.
Documents
- Automatic page refresh when adding or deleting a document.
Financing Allowed
- It is now possible to sort financing allowed by reference by clicking on the column title.
Invoice
- Fixed a bug that prevented a new invoice from being saved in certain circumstances.
Lessons Learned
- Automatic page refresh when adding a rating in the Criteria section.
Login Page
- Revision of the message indicating that you are logged out from Aidi.
Portfolio Management
- Differentiation of project and program IDs to take account of projects and programs with the same ID.
- A warning has been added to the scenario Insight page when no project is selected in the scenario.
- Adjustment of the alignment of the Main Administrative Unit column in the portfolio list.
- Fix of a bug that prevented the display of a portfolio's owner and administrative unit in certain situations.
Project Dashboard
- Fix of a bug that prevented the log history from being displayed.
Project Request
- Project requests without administrative units are now visible to all users.
- It is now possible to scroll through the list of over 25 project request entries.
Proposal
- It is now mandatory to enter the supplier's name when creating a proposal.
Purchase Order
- Correction of the sorting functionality in the Reference column so that when you click on the column title, purchase orders are sorted alphabetically.
Report List
- Fixed a bug that prevented report templates from being added when internet speeds were slower.
Scheduler
- When the Gantt view is disabled, the only way to reactivate it, is now to click again the Gantt View button.
- Fix a bug that caused the task list to scroll up when the Gantt View button was clicked.
- Resource management: fix of a bug that prevented the display of efforts for tasks that began before the period displayed in the table.
Shop Drawings
- Automatic page refresh when adding a comment.
Suppliers
- It is now possible to create a supplier by reusing the code of a previously deleted supplier.
Translation
English environment
- Replaced Approbator by Approver in the Status section of the project request details page.
- Corrected a typo in the English error message indicating that an unexpected error has occurred.
Security
- Internal libraries updated for improved stability.
