The weather section in the logbook provides a global overview of weather conditions at the exact location of the project. This data is archived in the logbook note, providing a history of weather data for archiving, project follow-up and reporting in the event of disputes.
Aidi automatically records actual weather data as well as what’s forecasted at specific times of the day from the date indicated in the note.
✏️Note: If you create a note for an earlier date, the weather will only be displayed if the date is within 4 days of the current date.
Forecasts are indicated by an asterisk.
Initial Data Acquisition
Meteorological data is taken from the GPS coordinates of the project site, using the project address (see Project > Details).
If no GPS coordinates are found, then Aidi will use the coordinates from the metadata of the first photo attached to the first note associated with this project.
If no metadata is found, then Aidi will use the zip code of the project address.
If no zip code data is provided, the weather will not be displayed.
Weather Updates
Weather updates within a diary note are fully automated, every hour between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. (Eastern Time).
If you change the date of a note, the data will be updated.
However, data cannot be updated more than 48 hours prior to the date of creation. Forecast data is also limited to 48 hours after the date of creation.
Data is pulled from Open Weather Map.
