When you create new items in Aidi, you will typically need to fill in a reference field. Here’s some information about this field.
The Reference field uniquely identifies each item. It is therefore impossible to have 2 identical references for the same type of item in the same project.
For example, 2 directives in the same project cannot have DDC-1 as their reference. Aidi will warn you with a message.
In order to respect project standards, your administrator can set up a coding nomenclature.
Here are a few examples:
- Contractual changes: the reference can be provided by the architect or a member of the project team. A standard can also be defined: 1st letter = discipline, then DIR, then a sequential number (S-DIR001 for Structure Directive No. 1).
- Tender: the supplier’s tender number or name
- Purchase order: the purchase order reference generated by your internal financial system
- Invoice: the supplier’s invoice number
